The YI 360 VR camera is now available for purchase at Microsoft.com and at Microsoft Stores in the US, the Chinese manufacturer has announced.
The long-awaited YI 360 VR has been rumoured to be released first in September, then October and now is getting a limited release via Microsoft, which we can only imagine is a precursor to its wider release with other retailers.
The YI 360 VR offers 5.7K video resolution at 30fps when stitched via YI’s desktop software, or 4K at 30fps resolution when stitched in camera.
The new YI 360 camera is also capable of 4K livestreaming, all at a price tag of just $399, which is bound to intrigue many photographers out there with an interest in producing 360-degree content.
Microsoft is offering live demos of the YI 360 Camera in its stores, as well.
The YI 360 VR boasts dual 220-degree f/2.0 lenses on its front and back.
