Samsung will be holding a trade-in promo for its newly announced Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. Galaxy Note 7 owners can trade-in their device for the Note 8 and save about $425. Note 7 owners can only avail the trade-in promo from Samsung.
The South Korean tech giant is trying to entice the Note 7 owners into purchasing their soon-to-be-released phablet with a huge discount. According to CNET, the company is waving up to $425 on the current handset for the latest phablet. Eligible customers can avail the new device for around $500, which appears to be a great deal since a person can’t even purchase the Galaxy S8 for that price.
However, Galaxy Note 7 owners should be in the U.S. to be eligible for the trade-in promo. Owners need to send the tech company their smartphone’s proof of purchase, which may include the owner’s original receipt, carrier bill, credit card bill and contract or lease agreement. With the Note 8 going on sale on September 15, the trade-in promo lasts until September 30.
The tech company also has some pre-order treats for the new device, giving away either a wireless charger, a 256GB microSD card or a Gear 360 camera. Trade-in promo participants can also avail the pre-order deal.

According to The Investor, Koh stated that the 10-nm processor (Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895) of the Galaxy Note 8 is designed to increase the power efficiency of the smartphone by 30 percent.
Specs of the device
Nonetheless, the Galaxy Note 8 sports a 6.3-inch QHD+ Infinity Display. The smartphone boasts a dual-camera setup, consisting of a 12MP telephoto lens and 12MP wide-angle lens. The smartphone will also arrive with an 8MP front camera.
