Facebook has made its live 360 video streaming feature available for all of its users, as revealed by the company in a blog post yesterday.
However, a 360 camera is required to avail of the feature with the company providing a list of compatible cameras in the blog post, including the Samsung Gear 360, Giroptic IO and Insta360.
Speaking about the feature, Facebook said:
‘Since launching Live 360 in December, we’ve seen the authenticity of Facebook Live and the immersive nature of 360 media come together to transport people into moments and experiences—right as they happen. Today we’re excited to make Live 360 available globally to all Profiles and Pages. Now, anyone with a 360 camera can go live in 360 degrees on Facebook.’
The company also revealed the introduction of its spatial audio feature which provides videos with a more realistic sound experience.
Facebook first unveiled its live 360 video streaming feature back in December.
